great bowls o’ fire
categories: fabulous findsI saw this beach burner portable bonfire by artist John T. Tunger featured on ThisNext yesterday and thought it would make such a fantastic attraction for any beach party or luau… The cut steel flames even act as great cooking rests for sausages or marshmallows!
Aside from the beautiful design aspect, Tunger’s entire collection of fire line art bowls are made of 100% recycled content, provide safer fires on windy evenings, and can be converted (for an extra cost) to clean-burning propane or natural gas. Available for purchase in the John T. Tunger etsy shop.

They kind of look a little goth to me…

That so cool! I’d just be afraid someone would stumble near it and get stabbed by the flames’ points.

Very interesting. I must agree with Kelly, however. My first impression took the form of an equation: Alcohol + Fire bowl = Accidental and very gruesome beheading. Still purty, though.

these are super cool I think. Very, very unique. I really like the beach bonfire idea personally – but I guess if people are worried about “party fouls” then the placement up on the pillar is smart. Probably depends on the type of crowd you’re planning to have over

interestingly, the ‘bowl of flames’ looks even better at rest. I love the silhouette of the bowl. nice find as we head into those early fall/late summer nights!
