my wish is for the world to have a holiday season free from disaster and pain..
Nov 7, 2007 at 3:03 pm -
My holiday wish echoes ‘the saunders family’, that the true reason for the season is Jesus, and without him, there would be no wishes.
Nov 7, 2007 at 3:03 pm -
My wish for this Christmas is for peace in the hearts of the world and for our children to outlive each one of us.
Nov 7, 2007 at 3:05 pm -
I agree with the above post, that people would know the true reason for the season – Jesus. However, I would like to see those who do know Him loving as Jesus would ~ helping those less fortunate, loving the unlovable, etc. If we all made a point of actually doing something for the greater good of mankind, instead of thinking about it, or saying we don’t have the time or money to do it, I think that would make a difference. We can’t all do big things but a lot of people doing a lot of small things can equal a pretty big thing.
Nov 7, 2007 at 3:13 pm -
That everyone, at the same moment, would feel the awesome grace and love that Christ Jesus has for ALL OF US. Oh, things would never be the same, would they?

Nov 7, 2007 at 4:14 pm -
My most magical wish is that Dumbledore would return from the dead and fall in love with the warlock character that Tim Curry played in The Worst Witch. Then, then would spend a wonderful holiday season together and live happily, and magically, ever after.
Nov 7, 2007 at 4:14 pm -
My wish is that people would start seeing the bigger world to which we belong- travel! learn another language! live somewhere that you are a minority! (not just race, but creed or politics or height…) Then maybe we would all both lighten up, and see what’s really important, be it environmental, women’s health, education, violence prevention issues, laughter, whatever. Peace be with you.

My holiday wish is for the people of the world to respect and tolerate each other–now matter the race, religon, or sex. To be able think somebody else other then ourselves would an amazing feat.
Nov 7, 2007 at 5:36 pm -
My magical wish is that for a day everyone in the world could experience things from the POV of someone else on the other side of the world. Think of how we might act differently if we knew in a very real sense how our actions affected the whole world.
Nov 7, 2007 at 5:36 pm -
I wish the world to have what it needs—
Nov 7, 2007 at 5:43 pm -
I really wish everyone would just think in depth about their actions before they do something. If everyone would think about how their actions are going to affect themselves and everyone else, maybe they would do things differently and there wouldn’t be so many bad things happening in the world.
Nov 7, 2007 at 5:44 pm -
For the whole world? I would wish that they would know the Love of Jesus Christ and accept Him as their Savior. That would be my only wish for the people of the world. Happiness and “wealth” will always follow.

That everyone would be able to be with someone at Christmas, not having to spend it alone.
Nov 7, 2007 at 6:41 pm -
i want to see recycling containers everywhere! there is no sense in not providing receptacles for people that are ready & willing. it amazes me that my boyfriend has no idea where or how to recycle — and he’s right, there are no containers anywhere. he lives in a chicago suburb & used to throw all of his tribunes in the trash!
Nov 7, 2007 at 7:05 pm -
My holiday wish is that people would be content with what they have and participate in giving to shose who have less.
Nov 7, 2007 at 7:06 pm -
My wish would be that we don’t forget about those children who live in deep poverty or who are born with the AIDS virus. To ask for a cure is almost too much to wish for at this point (although that would be fantastic) but as we open our gifts and give gifts, may we not forget those children living in slums who don’t even know what Christmas is or the reason for it.
Nov 7, 2007 at 7:15 pm -
My wish would be to have children who listened all the time
Nov 7, 2007 at 7:26 pm
Wouldn’t that be great?! Or maybe that I could have more patience . . . because we know everything starts in the home. If we can help our children be strong, good individuals, we can help make the world a better place. -
With all the stress that the holidays can bring, my wish is that people can remember the joy of the season, the importance of Christ, and the true gift that family can be.

My wish this season is for everyone to take a moment for themselves and just breathe. This time of year is always so stressful and hectic that I think it’s difficult to balance work, gifts, entertaining, travel, etc. To truly get into the holiday spirit, time to ourselves and quality time with family and friends is rare.

what I wish for everyone this holiday is to not be bogged down with stress or worry over the materialistic aspect of the holiday but rather enjoy being able to spend time with their family, friends and loved ones. Make it a homemade Christmas and consider doing a family Pollyanna. I know in this day and age it’s all about getting the kids the latest video games or designer clothes and how many presents are under the tree – but when it’s all said and done, those “things” break or lose their luster and fade away and what is really remembered is the fun, laughter and time spent together. Take care, God bless and may the peace that only He can bring be with you all.

I wish for lives to be lived without getting lipstick on our teeth, for our whites to stay white, our sheets to forever be clean and ironed, our beds and homes to be filled with light and love. Our neighbors to be known and invited for dinner, and for those we don’t know, I hope for each of us to feel safe enough to open our hearts and homes, to allow for vulnerable, to take more risks and relish our rewards. A world free of static cling, impatience, and recklessness of the heart, where pretty stationery affords us each the opportunity to share such wishes with the ones we love.
