I have a best friend who has moved to Florida recently, and quite frankly I feel I have been neglecting her. I would think She would love the Set of beach bottles to commemorate her new home this Christmas, and maybe she will forgive me for not calling as much as I should.

I would love to give my mom the Haute Holiday dessert plate set. She’s moving out on her own for the very first time in her life and would love to have something pretty to serve on!

I’d love to give my sister-in-law the charming “Red polka Dot” dinnerware set or the bright and vibrant “Tea’s me” Tea set as this is her first christmas after her wedding, and the festive season also co-incides with their first wedding anniversary!! She’ll love these colors and will be thrilled as she loves entertaining:)

I would love to give my mother the cake pedestals for Christmas! She has been wanting a cake stand for years but has refused to buy one for herself. I think she would love these cute pedestals!

I would give my friend Holly the Tea’s Me teapot set. It is adorable and we have a tradition of throwing baby shower tea parties for our group of our best friends. She is pregnant right now and it has been a rough pregnancy and I know this would put a smile on her face.

I would love the soda fountain plates. There are certain memories that you retain as an adult–in my family it was when we had dessert on certain dishes. I would like to start a new tradition in my family with these colorful creations.

I’d love to give the Let’s Play House baking set to my 5 year old granddaughter. It is just adorable!

My mother has never in her life had a set of nice platters or service. I’d love to give her The Red Velvet Collection. It is so much better to give than to receive!

My mom has been asking for a nice pedestal forever, and the black large pedestal would match her black toile dining room exquisitely!

I would love to give my dad’s new wife Michele the American Bungalow mixing bowls. We have found that we share a love of vintage Pyrex dishes, and these beautiful mixing bowls remind me of the classic primary colors mixing bowl sets we’ve been trying to put together.

The 12 days of Christmas are so whimsical! I would love these for the family meal I’m sure to make, the CT Coffee and Teapot Set would make an excellent gift for my mother-in-law, who would really love those delicate birds!

My sister would DIE for the “Bon Voyage” dinner plates she just got back from a trip to paris and surrounding areas and can’t stop talking about it. And of course i would love the 12 days of christmas plates

Although she can afford better now, to this day, my mother continues to use a motley collection of Corningware acquired through the years, both for their practicality (difficult to break) and affordability. I would like her to experience the small joy of using a real collection of plates that are both pretty and “impractical”.

The Dark Chocolate Collection would be PERFECT for my mom because she LOVES anything and everything chocolate and the Rococo Noir Collection would be PERFECT for my best friend – she loves anything black and lacquered and the Rococo Noir Collection is just that!! Wow, thank you so much for all these giveaways. I have always loved Rosanna and had always wanted to buy her beautiful items but could never make up my mind. If I could pick out one gift, it would be the gorgeous and colorful set of stoneware Rosanna Bowles which I’d give to my daughter. All of my mother’s dishes are white and practical except for one pretty ice cream bowl she uses very sparingly. When she does use it, she smiles secretly to herself and you can tell it really makes her happy (and feel lovely). What piece would I love to give as a gift? That’s a hard one. Everything they have is beautiful, but I think my favorite gift to give would probably be the Tea or Coffee set. Its absoulutely perfect.

I would loooove to give the “Boho” collection to my friend Heather. She recently graduated college, and is moving out on her own for the first time. She is in dire need of, well, everything. These plates reflect her style perfectly: a little trendy, a little preppy, and 100% adorable!

The 12 Days plates are so fantastic and so useful! I would love to gift one of our public relations consultants with the Wine Country platter, so beautiful and so her.

I love Rosanna, Inc.!! I love all the dishs but the Fleur line is stunning! My mom would week over these! She is passionate about dishes and she deserves them! She has family and friends over to dinner constantly and would use these all the time! She would love it!

I would give my 4yr old and my 3 yr old nieces each thier own tea for two sets. The sets are too cute and both girls are so into the princess tea thing.

OH I would most definitely pick the boho desseret plates! I have been obsessed with them for months! I would be very selfish and keep them for myselfs although I would DEFINITELY have many friends over for dinners. They would also look fabulous for baby showers–luckily I have many friends popping out babies left and right (to whom I will play the favorite “aunt” and hopefully I will be blessed with little chubby babies of my own one day)!

And to whom would you love to give this holiday? My mother of course! I can’t think of a single person that I would rather give such fabulous plates to–her home is the center of all family gatherings and with be for years to come. Of course they would NOT be at the grandkid’s table!

I’d like to give the 12 days of christmas plates to my mom. My mom escaped an abusive marriage many years ago and had to leave everything behind. In the years since she’s always commented on the fact that she’d really like to have a set of christmas dishes like she did before she left my father.

Those Dauphine Candlesticks in white would be perfect for my Secret Santa recipient! I can’t tell you who it is because it’s a secret.

Wow. Those 12 Days appetizer plates are stunning. As soon as I saw the picture, I thought of my childhood and baking cookies with my mom. We’d spend hours and hours baking and decorating in detail. Every year she arranges special personalized cookies on plates for everyone to munch from while we open a gift at midnight. So excited to see these!

As a thank you for bringing my breathlessly amazing nephew into the world this year, and as a reminder of our annual family beach vacation, that in 2008, will be one person bigger and hundred times more beautiful.

I would give the Sweet Dreams bowls to my mom. They are so adorable and my mom is a big ice cream fan. I would also give away the 12 days appetizer plates to my mother-in-law because she loves to entertain. From BBQ’s in the summer to hosting EVERY family get together, she goes all out. These would be perfect for Christmas dinner!

Due to my Mom’s shortage of glasses, and her endearing ability to “make do” with posterior-shaped cups, I tend to think that a set of Bon Voyage mugs, in particular, would make a suitable and much appreciated gift for her.

Tonight, over the phone, I intentionally wandered onto the subject of dinnerware with my Mom–particularly *her* dinnerware. I was curious about all she had stored in her cupboards. We spoke of her chipped plates, and her smallish flimsy bowls, but right away the focus turned to the status and quality of her drinkware. The following is a highly stylized–yet fully fact-based–account of our “chalice and vessel” conversation:

MOM: . . . [Speaking of her drinkware.] Yes, all the same color and design would be nice. Instead, they are all mismatched–there are pieces from different sets. We really don’t use *a* set.
ME: Oh? What do you use, then?
MOM: Well, you know, different things. For one, your Dad’s colossal Over the Hill beer mug, and then there’s the personalized photo mug we got at the mall–you know, the one with Nana’s face on it? A few colored Tupperware cups [i.e. the ones she's employed since I was a kid. The ones with melted-down rims and shallow, brown burn holes at the bottoms--victims of Dad's neglected cigarettes], and just some standard Working glasses. Oh, and the butt mug.
ME: . . . Butt mug?
MOM: Yes, remember, the mug that is flesh-colored and shaped like a butt from Spencer’s [gross-out novelty shop]? The one that says “Kiss my *!$%@#, I’m 40!”–another gift someone bought your Dad.
ME: Wow, Mom.
MOM: I know, I know. We don’t seem to have enough glasses around, so mostly we’ve been drinking out of the recycled tuna jars from the pantry.
ME: Oh dear.

It wasn’t just the thought of my Mom drinking out of ceramic asses that led me to conclude she needs these mugs. I also believe the Bon Voyage set befits her personality and a promise she and I hold to one another, a dream we hope to realize: that we will someday, somehow, travel together. Of all the many places and cities we desire to travel to, Paris and New York–two of the Bon Voyage destinations–are among the top favorites.

The beach bottles would look great in my Grandma’s living room!

My mother of course! She would love the Victoriana collection… especially the globe vase and pedestal bowl. I can imagine her with some lovely buds in the vase and cookies or treats in the bowl, on the tray along with some tea. It’s the little things that make everyday events like a cup of tea more special:)

My sister would love the Boho Dinner plates. She is about to graduate college and needs some items something more mature but still fun for the new post-college phase of her life.

I would love an additional set of the 12 day of Christmas plates to give to my MIL. She introduced the 12day of Christmas to me and loves anything to do with it. I have never seen plates before and I know she would love them!

My little sister just got married this year. I would like to get her the 12 days of Christmas set because she has very little holiday decor and she would love it.

I would give my mom the Rosanna bowls. What pretty colors!

i would absolutely love to give the cotswold dessert plates to my friend elysa, because they are in her very favorite color combination (black, white, and red) and also because she is incredibly artsy and fabulous!

I’d give the wine tasting plates to our good friends who are finally (almost) finished building their house after nearly two years. They deserve it. I’d love the 12 days of Christmas plates for me though!

I would get my twin sister the “Sweet Dreams” set. She *loves* ice cream and is getting married this coming year, so it would be a great gift for her and her fiance!

There are so many sets that I love but it’s the Chelsea Flowers that I keep coming back to because I could see myself giving any of the pieces in the collection to many of the special people in my life. In the end, I think my Mom would love the dessert plates, though if I could, I would give her the whole collection.

Oh my gosh! So many beautiful things to pick from! I think I would have to choose a set of red dots coffee cups–for my sis-in-law who makes a mean cup of Joe but has the saddest collection of miscellaneous cups you’ve ever seen!

I would love to give the Sweet Dreams Ice Cream Bowls to my mom. She’d love it.

I would LOVE to be able to give my “baby” sister the Chelsea Flowers set. Our family has had a lot of obstacles over the past few years including the divorce of our parents, resulting money problems and a major illness. Despite this, she has managed to trudge through it all, finish school and finally land her dream job. She is moving into her first apartment next weekend and we are all sooo proud of her and her accomplishments.
I know that this set would be a great way to remind her to take time for herself, enjoy being the girly-girl that she is and enjoy her accomplishments.

It would have to be the “Tea’s Me” set for my mother-in-law. She loves to have tea especially with my two girls. She even put a tea room in her new house complete with hats and tea sets for all sizes! Thanks…

My newly-engaged gal pal is getting married and she would go ga-ga over the Les Femmes collection! She collects and adores everything vintage-French inspired. In fact, her birthday party (which I am throwing) is a Tres Chic Parisian cocktail party!

I would buy the Fluer dinnerware for my sister….she doesn’t have any dinnerware that is “her own” and she just moved into her new apartment. When I saw this I just knew it was something she would love!
