Gift-Themed Centerpiece Idea

categories: centerpiece ideas, decorating ideas

wedding reception and centerpiece ideaIn addition to the chic, “notice-me” color palette of this fantastic reception table, it also features one of my favorite ways to create a super cool, easy centerpiece. Just wrap some empty gift or shoe boxes with hip, contemporary gift wrap in coordinating patterns, then display them grouped together. You can use boxes of the same size or several different sizes – just arrange them in an interesting way. I’ve even thrown small gift bags in the mix – which are also great as “vases” for flower arrangements!

Perfect idea for holiday dinners or milestone birthday parties!

Love the color palette you chose! I have used this idea for a company Christmas dinner (using sleek sparkling silver/gold) and for a County-wide Teacher Appreciation Luncheon, with bright vibrant primary colors. Such a great “green” option for centerpieces, since they are certainly reusable in this and many other applications! What about incorporating them as wrapped guest favors? So many ideas….so little time!!! LOL
Thanks for the great inspiration today!

What a great DIY project and helps to keep the budget at bay! I am absolutely going to do this often.

We did this for our wedding! Our colors were celadon and chartreuse greens, pink, and chocolate brown. The centerpiece also doubled as our favors. Half were filled with my husband’s mother’s famous chocolate chip cookies and the other half were my mother’s gingersnaps. Everyone loved it! Hopefully this picture works…
