Asian Bridal Shower

{by Guest Hostesses: Amy Squires and Jocey Canrinus of the fabulous new wedding website: Wedding Chicks: Sassy Weddings for Cool Chicks!}

Throwing a stylish soirée can be simple if you stick to a theme. We decided to throw an Asian-inspired affair and want to share our fabulous finds with you! Here are the party details…

Invitations:
The invitations were designed with our theme in mind and helped gift guests a taste of what was to come!

Color Palette:
First, we picked a fresh and modern palette of teal green, chocolate, and white.

Florals & Decor:
We chose a simple flower holder with a minimalist feel and placed a few willows, a sprig of orchids, and a few reeds of bear grass in the center, along with a single floating orchid at the base. Rice bowls played up our Asian theme and coordinated well with low, circular serving dishes. We used a variety of favor boxes – each filled with delectable chocolates – to spice things up!

Menu:
Our menu consisted of garlic shrimp resting on a bed of buttery rice, along with blackened chicken spring rolls with a honey cilantro pesto sauce. Dessert was a scoop of refreshing green tea ice cream.
