“Cause a Ric Rac!” – by Guest Hostess Sheena Kalso

categories: get inspired, hwtm

Let’s start a Ric Rac craze, shall we? Such a nostalgic, even vintage, piece of sewing detail can add a special touch your party guests will notice. Here are a few ideas we’ve collected:

1. Sabre Paris has a Ric Rac plate collection of many, many colors.
2. Crafty mama Morgan Moore incorporated wide ric rac ribbon into this super cute apron she designed. If you’re not particularly crafty – what a great way to customize a store bought item for the Hostess !
3. Could personalizing a wine bottle get any simpler?
4. A fun DIY project inspired by a former Crate&Barrel product.

How to use this party theme? Spring time soiree, shower or birthday party. The pattern is fun, the product is easy to obtain and you can "tie" anything into the theme with Ric Rac!

I’ve always loved the look of ric rac – this would be a really cute look for a baby shower too if you added some buttons!

The link to the Crate and Barrel website is incorrect. It takes you to createandbarrel.

Rick Rack Rawks! I( am actually the model in photograph number 3. That apron is an original design, hand sewn and crafted. It’s cute, huh?! I think credit should be given to the designer of this apron. Just thought I would put that out there.)

    Hi Vanessa –
I totally agree! Do you happen to know the name of the designer? If so, please post it here and I’ll be happy to add it to the feature!

    Thanks,
    Jenn
