This is awesome! I used to think I was only meant to have cacti, but now, the potential of growing my own basil is a possibility. This is going on my birthday list for sure!

If you are on vacation, it is also easier for people to take care of your plants while you are away.
Cupcakes and cutlery: a tip for growing healthy fresh Mediterranean herbs is to wait until the dirt is dried before watering again. My rule of thumb is if they look fresh and stand tall, I check back the next day. I do not have a green thumb but I am very successful with herbs.

I can grow anything out of doors, but kill my houseplants with kindness- too much water! This is a great idea, and he(Karim Rashid) makes really innovative design products that you can actually use!
