Simply Stated: Slate & Stone

categories: Simply Stated, fabulous finds

grobalThe use of natural elements in tableware, serveware, and decorative fillers makes for such a pretty, almost tranquil atmosphere and is a trend I’m really loving. For some stylish products featuring earthy materials like slate, stone, and marble, check out today’s “Entertaining Trends: Slate & Stone” post on Simply Stated: Celebrations, and feel free to add to the list!

The best part about slate and stone tableware and serveware is that it usually means you’re about to eat cheese ;)

How about granite? I always think of wild animals (like leopards and cheetahs) when I see granite, and its spotted/striped veins! Use granite tiles for charger plates or serving pieces. Just watch out for citrus- it harms a granite surface. Have fun at your next safari party! And- I would definitely use that zebra striped paper lantern from the baby party pictures!
