sweetest thing baby shower

In keeping with the candy theme we have going today, here is another sweet dose of inspiration for you… images from “The Sweetest Thing” baby shower recently thrown by the fabulously creative Amy Belle Isle for a friend that just welcomed triplets! Suffice to say, this shower needed to be extra special, or better yet… how about the sweetest thing ever!

A few highlights from the oh-so-many clever details: giant “candy pieces” created from Chinese lanterns wrapped in cellophane and tied at the ends with ribbon, Jones Soda bottles used as vases, candy cane napkin rings and candy bracelets used as wine glass charms!

Witty & playful quotes were also displayed in cute ways throughout the party (including words of widsom from both Mother Theresa and Willy Wonka!), and party favors were embellished with a tag that read “so sweet of you to join us”.

Check out more images & details on Amy’s Blog – Stem Parties – and a full recap & lots more images from proud new mom/guest-of-honor Shannan.

*This theme would be equally adorable for a bridal shower or birthday party (for kids OR adults)…just swap out a few details to tailor it to the occasion!

You really have a great site! I love the ideas- and the candy parties, buffets, and decor are really the new trend! Lollipop bouquets make great party favors, and jelly belly jelly beans are great for decorating the tables!

I am so glad I came across this post! This gavce me a wonderful idea for my 22nd birthday in November! :-D I like the fact that I can adjust the theme so it’s not “baby shower-y” or childish. Thanks HWTM!!

What did the invitations say for this baby shower? Was there a cute saying you used to go with the theme?

    Hi Kim –

The top of the shower invite said “Triplets. How sweet is that?”

Thank you so much for the link. I am giving a baby shower for one of my friends, and I absolutely love this theme. It is so not the traditional baby shower. Which I love!!!!….
    Thanks again!
