I made the pear and white chocolate trifle for my familiy this year for Christmas…they almost licked the bowl.. I had to improvise a few ingredients.. I used equal parts lemonade and applejuice instead of the pear nectar and I couldn’t find the cardemon pods so I used ground alspice and put the liquid through a strainer…Made me have mini food-gasms!!!

White chocolate originates from the cocoa (cacao) plant, but it is not ‘chocolate.’ According to the FDA, to be called ‘chocolate’ a product must contain chocolate liquor, which is what gives it the biter intense chocolate flavor (and color) to dark and milk chocolates.
