Wedding Lunch – Exhibit Gallery
categories: decorating ideas, get inspired, weddingHere’s some more event design inspiration from The Special Event… These images are from the Exhibit Gallery we walked through after the Wedding Lunch. The first room was a contemporary silver & white design and seemed to be the “star” of the show… judging from the oohs and aahs heard whenever people entered!
The centerpiece pictured above is especially interesting to me: tube vases buried in sand act act as pedestals for a huge bundle of mitsumata branches laced with white orchids… gorgeous!
This next room is just pure GLAM! Rich reds and a retro lounge vibe in everything from the centerpieces to the walls…
Last but not least, was this super cool, tropical/tiki room. Mai tai, anyone?
Check out more pics of all three of these designs over at the Gallery Rooms album on Facebook!

I love the use of light in both of these rooms. Isn’t lighting just key to setting the right “feel!?”

These florals were created by Adelaide’s Florist and Decorators in La Jolla, Ca. I made the mitsumata piece and wanted to clarify- the lucite tubes are actually buried in dry white rice (to add to the textural organic feel and subtly continue the wedding theme for the after party) and the dangling green element is a succulent “Rhipsalis” that has lovely translucent balls that also capture the light. Fun event to work on !!!
