The bourdeaux is one of my all time favorite pieces of candy! So yummy. Sadly, the closest See’s is 60 miles away so I don’t get my yummy so often anymore.

Chocolate covered chocolate, how can you go wrong? My mom loves the milk chocolate and my dad loves the dark chocolate so a nice assortment would be lovely. But since it is mother’s day, I think something a bit more girly and springy like the Springtime Truffles would be even better!

I grew up in Southern California and it was always a treat as a child to visit the Sees Candy store at the mall. My Mom would always buy us a lollipop and we’d light up at the sight of a free sample! Having moved to the midwest, where they only have Sees during the holidays – I always stock up on the Little Pops. They are a perfect treat to stash away at work and popping one during a busy day at work just melts the stress away! The flavors remain rich and full of nostalgia!

I love the bourdouex (sp) chocolates. One year my dad came to visit close to Easter time and got me a some and I was hooked instantly. I treat myself to one every now and then in memory of him.

Any honey flavored ones are great. I think See’s should offer just a pure honey nougat or one with actual honey in the center. I tried to get a honey filled chocolate from godiva but they didn’t have anything comparable to the selection that I see here.

Vanilla buttercream are a weekly buy for my Mother who came to live with us and one taste got her hooked! I send boxes to my family back east for any occasion which is a big hit. Yummy, just talking about it makes me want to go raid Mom’s box! LOL -

Toffee-ettes are my absolute FAVORITE!!! I hoard them. Literally. When someone brings a box to work (often enough, especially around any holidays), I have a sixth sense to pick up on it. I can smell See’s from afar, way down hallways and around corners. I sneak in like a stealthy spy and snatch up all the Toffee-etts before anyone else can take them. Then I hoard them at my desk and treat myself all day.

There is no substitute for See’s lollipops. I visited a See’s here in AZ with some friends once in high school. We were practicing our choir songs throughout the mall and when we went into See’s, the candy lady loved our singing so much that she gave us some really great free samples! That was one of the kindest, most random things I’ve ever experienced. I love See’s Candies.
