Today’s “Real Party” feature is a sweet & sophisticated baby shower featuring some amazing culinary treats like Caramelized Tomato Tarte Tatins and a lovely display of Brie with Figs & Honeycomb!
This look would translate nicely for a bridal shower as well – and you can just switch up the colors for a girl or gender-neutral baby shower!

Lots more images + the details for Alison’s baby shower are below – as told by party hostess/sister Debbie!

Pictured at top: Paper flowers made with a brad and strips of paper left over from other decorations were attached to a lolly pop stick with a glue dot; Paper Bunting made from scrapbook paper, double sided tape, + baby doll pegs.

Above: Wire tree (available all over South Africa). We made the decorations by using the left over paper from the bunting (round punch, small punch and ribbon); local wooden board wrapped with blue ribbon for the biscuits; and photo of the guest of honor (as a baby) with her mom under a glass dome next to flowers.
Below: Cupcake toppers (also made from left over paper) were attached to a lolly pop stick with a glue dot:

Custom-made beaded dinosaurs were attached to the wire cupcake stand:

Small decorated bottles filled with baby goods and tin buckets painted white, then scrapped with BABY and BOY:

And now for some culinary treats…starting with pretty arrangements of brie with figs & honeycomb:

Pictured below: Baby Asparagus & Sun Dried Tomato Quiche and Caramelized Tomato Tarte Tartins (full recipes for both available in The Recipe Box).
