We have a couple of holiday parties we will be hosting and I always make it easier on myself by making it a potluck so that I don’t have to do all of the cooking in addition to the decor and prep. I make sure it all works together by having a list of items we need and friends choose from that. Makes it less stressful and more fun!

My favorite place to shop for party decor is Ikea. They are seriously cheap, and have tons of fun stuff, espcially if you think outside the box. I especially love their glass plates, and coffee mugs/teacups?, they’re even cheaper than buying the disposable stuff.

What an exciting giveaway! I will be celebrating Christmas with my family, and I always go over the top on decorating with my mom. Since I like to make a lot of my own decorations for parties, I would have to say that Michael’s is my #1 resource.

I will be hosting a potluck/ornament exchange at my home on Sunday with all my scrap booker friends.
I love to get ideas from Southern Living magazine and all their holiday books. I finally found the perfect sugar cookie from one of their older books and make them every year. I also love to search Foodnetwork and Bakerella.

This Christmas I’ll be hosting our traditional Family Christmas Eve party. I’m still trying to come up with a craft for us all to do together. In the past we’ve made ornaments, decorated gingerbread houses, baked sugar cookies, and gone Christmas caroling (that one wasn’t so popular).

One of my best friends and I have an annual cookie making tradition where we spend a whole day baking and decorating around 200 sugar cookies for friends and family. They’ve all come to expect it, and it’s a great way for us to catch up! And there’s a little store called Papertown where we get a bunch of cute bakery boxes and raffia to tie everything up and make it pretty!
