Asian Affair
Asian-inspired decor has always been a personal favorite, as well as the combination of bright orange and lime green, so you can probably see why I instantly fell in love with this modern Asian Affair party theme from Social Couture ! This type of look could really be used for any type of dinner party or special occasion, but I think it would be especially great for contemporary bridal showers, engagement parties, or rehearsal dinners.

party favor keychains
Jessica - the ever-so-crafty designer from How about orange, sent over an awesome idea for custom party favors recently. She used ink-jet compatible shrinky sheets from ReadyMade to create custom key chains featuring designs printed from her computer - which is great because this gives you the opportunity to create party favors that perfectly match your theme! You can pull a cute pattern used in your tableware or party decor or even create personalized keychains for each of your guests using mongrammed initials. Click here for the step-by-step instructions. Thanks, Jess!

Shop Spotlight: Posh Betty
Take a breather from all the “Posh Spice” frenzy and meet PoshBetty! PoshBetty is a cool online shop started by 3 friends who where tired of cards and invitations that were “all the same”. In their own words, this meant “couples walking hand in hand, kittens chasing balls of yarn, and grandpa and grandson building a soapbox racecar”. So the girls decided to start their own company with the goal of bringing back 50’s style with a fresh, modern flair. Today, PoshBetty offers retro-mod invitations, announcements, stationery and more - and just recently launched a brand new favors section. A few samples pictured here - visit the website to view all the goods!

{party favors pictured above, clockwise from top left} CD Tin;, Rhinestone Monogram Stickers ($4.99/set of 12), Aqua Mini Cube Boxes ($7.99/set of 12) and Diamond Shaped Crystal Paperweights ($1.99/$3.29/$6.99 for S/M/L); Dot Ribbon ($4.99/12-yd roll), and Blue Silk Fan ($1.39 ea - available in several colors).
PoshBetty is also currently looking for tips, advice, and wedding stories from Newlyweds and Brides-to-Be. If you’ve got some good stories or advice to share with the world, click here to tell them all about it!

fabulous blank cds
Jessica from “I Do Declare!” has some great new designer CD’s in her Etsy shop that would be perfect for your favorite party mixes! Make some for yourself or burn mixes as creative party or shower giveaways…or make a slideshow of fun pictures with your friends and send copies to them on these cute CDs as thoughtful “thinking of you” gifts. The designs were inspired by the ladies of Sex and the City and are - quite appropriately - named Carrie, Charlotte, Samantha, and Miranda! ($8/set of 4 at Etsy)

i heart iomoi
I remember a day almost 6 years ago now (seriously, where does the time go?!) that I received an adorable e-stationery note from my friend Liz Montna, telling me about this “great new online stationery company” that had recently launched. And thank goodness for all of us - this company - a little startup named “iomoi” - is now a hugely successful brand that we can turn to for oh-so-hip invitations and fabulous gifts! A few of my personal favorites pictured here: sweets sleeves, custom invites (from left: beach party, park avenue evening, pink invitation, and floral pattern chocolate), personalized coasters, and printed match box sets. (Be sure to check out their fantastic paper weights too!)
