Last summer I had the pleasure of meeting blogger Kelly Wilkinson of Make Grow Gather on a super fun & crafty blogger’s weekend graciously hosted by Michaels. I sat next to Kelly at dinner the first night and remember the excitement in her voice as she talked about a book she’d been working on for quite a while that would be published soon… so I’m very excited to share the news of that {genuinely fabulous!} book with you now!

Even at first glance, it’s obvious that Weekend Handmade was a labor of love – the photography and styling is beautiful, and the projects are incredibly creative and well thought out. Here are a few examples that are especially fitting for party lovers… ;)

In staying true to it’s title, each project in Weekend Handmade can be accomplished over the course of just one evening or weekend, and the book is divided into 3 sections: MAKE offers projects to wear or decorate with; GROW presents projects inspired by gardens, fields, and farmer’s markets; and GATHER spotlights projects that enrich casual get-togethers.
